Friday @ Wintertainment 2012!
As is usually the case at Wintertainment, we truly hit the ground running on our first full day at Camp Forest Springs on Friday. After breakfast, a handful of our students made their way to the rec field to play a game called Razzleblast, a mix between soccer and football. Others chose to start the day out on the ski slopes, skiing and snowboarding. The afternoon was full of more skiing/ snowboarding, tubing & animal ball. The evening brought cross country skiing, a snow shoe hike & a dodgeball tournament. We are excited about another full day of activities tomorrow!
Our speaker Kent challenged us to consider the heart of the matter. (What is the condition of your heart ?) What our we passionate about? What are we pursuing and if we follow this path what will our final destination look like or where will this path lead us? We can be confident that Jesus wants us to have an abundant, full life in him if we follow him with everything that we have.
In the evening session, he challenged us to replace things and ideas the world tells us with truths that can be found in the Bible.
1. Replace bondage to sin with freedom from sin!
1 Corinthians 10:13 & Galatians 5:1
2. Replace loneliness with comfort!
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
3. Replace uncertainty with confidence!
Romans 8:28
4. Replace bitterness with forgiveness!
Colossians 3:13
5. Replace being critical with being thankful!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
In they end, he is continuing to challenge us to consider the condition of our hearts, whether we are satisfied with its condition and what we are going to do about it.
Overall, it was a great day at Wintertainment. I'm sure each student will sleep well tonight after a great day of meeting new friends, being challenged from the Word & and having fun together as a group at the various activities!
Please continue to pray that God would continue moving in each of our hearts. We have begun even now to challenge the students to consider what God is teaching them at camp and what they plan to change or do differently when they return home. Please pray to this end with us! We are so thankful & blessed to be here this week! We hope you are enjoying the pics we have been posting!

Checking in at wintertainment 2012!
We arrived safely at Camp Forest Springs for wintertainment. Students are registered and settling in to their cabins. Some have even taken advantage of the free time before dinner to head to the ski slope! Our first session is tonight at 9 pm. Please continue to pray for God to do something great in each of our hearts this week at camp!
